Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Travelese — for Members, Hosts, and Alliance partners

🌐 Platform & General

What is Travelese?

Travelese is a lifestyle-first travel platform built by Rare Earth Solutions Inc. that matches travelers to experiences based on personality compatibility and lifestyle data rather than destination search. Using 400+ traveler data points and 16 lifestyle classifications across 7 business categories, Travelese connects Members, Hosts, and Alliance partners in a three-sided marketplace designed around who you are, not where you want to go.

How is Travelese different from Airbnb, Expedia, or traditional booking platforms?

Traditional platforms start with a destination and filter from there. Travelese inverts that entirely — your lifestyle profile drives what surfaces, not a search box. The platform operates as a closed system with no outside advertising, no data selling, and no algorithmic influence from paid placements. Every result is based purely on compatibility between who you are and what a Host offers.

Where is Travelese available?

Travelese is launching with a focus on West Virginia and the Eastern Seaboard, with planned expansion westward as the network grows. Hosts and Members in the initial launch region gain first access to the full platform network.

Does Travelese sell my data or show me ads?

No. Travelese operates as a closed system. Your data is used exclusively to generate lifestyle matches within the platform. It is never sold to third parties and there are no outside advertisers influencing your results.

When does the platform launch?

Host onboarding opens in April 2026. Member onboarding opens in May 2026. Full platform access for all users goes live in June 2026.

Who is behind Travelese?

Travelese is developed by Rare Earth Solutions Inc., based in Charleston, West Virginia. The platform reflects over 35 years of technology experience with a focus on creating authentic, sustainable connections between travelers and local businesses.

🧳 Members

What is a Travelese Member?

A Member is a traveler who uses the Travelese platform to discover and connect with experiences that match their lifestyle. Membership gives you access to the full Host network across all platform regions.

How much does it cost to be a Member?

Nothing. Membership is 100% free with no hidden fees, subscription tiers, or transaction charges to travelers — ever.

How does the lifestyle matching work?

When you join, your profile captures 400+ data points across 16 lifestyle classifications — things like preferred pace, atmosphere, cultural interests, and activity level. The platform's proprietary matching system compares your profile against Host attributes to surface experiences genuinely compatible with who you are. Results are 100% personalized with no paid placements or generic filters.

What kinds of experiences can I find on Travelese?

Hosts span 7 business categories: activities, lodging, dining, events, shopping, services, and transportation. Each category includes businesses profiled across 150+ attributes, so whether you are looking for an intimate culinary tour, an adventure outfitter, a boutique lodge, or a local artisan shop, the results reflect your specific lifestyle preferences.

Can I find experiences for solo travel, families, or groups?

Yes. Your lifestyle profile captures travel context including group composition, so matching accounts for whether you are traveling solo, as a couple, with family, or in a group. Hosts also profile the type of travelers they serve best, so the match works in both directions.

Does Travelese support accessible travel needs?

Yes. Travelese includes 26 accessible travel options within the Member profile. Hosts also profile the accessibility features of their offerings, so matching accounts for accessibility requirements the same way it does for any other lifestyle attribute — no separate search required.

How soon after joining can I find matches?

Member onboarding opens in May 2026. Once your profile is complete, matches are generated immediately. There is no waiting period or approval process.

Can I communicate directly with Hosts?

Yes. Travelese provides direct communication between Members and Hosts. There is no intermediary, no call center, and no gated messaging system. You connect directly with the business before and after your experience.

🏢 Hosts

What is a Travelese Host?

A Host is any business that lists its offerings on the Travelese platform to connect with pre-qualified, lifestyle-matched travelers. Hosts span 7 categories including activities, lodging, dining, events, shopping, services, and transportation.

How much does it cost to be a Host?

Travelese offers three subscription tiers:

  • Local — $200/year: 2,400 annual free confirmations, $1.00 excess fee rate — ideal for small local businesses
  • Franchise — $300/year: 36,000 annual free confirmations, $0.85 excess fee rate — for franchise operations
  • Corporate — $500/year: 120,000 annual free confirmations, $0.75 excess fee rate — for large corporate entities

All tiers include full access to the Universal Host Network. There is no trial period — your first year is your launch year with full platform access from day one.

What happens if I exceed my confirmation limit?

Excess confirmations beyond your annual allotment are billed monthly at your tier rate: $1.00 per confirmation for Local, $0.85 for Franchise, and $0.75 for Corporate. You will receive alerts as you approach your limit so there are no billing surprises.

When can I start as a Host?

Host onboarding opens in April 2026. Hosts who join early establish their profiles ahead of Member onboarding in May, giving them immediate visibility when Members enter the platform in June.

What travelers will I be matched with?

Only travelers whose 400+ data point profiles are compatible with your Host attributes. You are not competing for general traffic or price-driven searches. Every Member who sees your listing has already been matched to you based on lifestyle compatibility — they are pre-qualified before they ever reach your profile.

What is the geographic reach of the Host network?

The platform launches across West Virginia and the Eastern Seaboard, expanding westward as the network grows. Every Host gains visibility across all Member activity within the network, not just their immediate local area.

Do I operate as an independent contractor?

Yes. Hosts on the Travelese platform operate as independent contractors, not employees of Rare Earth Solutions Inc. You retain full control over your operations, pricing, scheduling, and how you deliver your experiences.

Am I responsible for my own licenses, permits, and insurance?

Yes. Hosts are responsible for maintaining all required local, state, and federal business licenses, permits, and insurance coverage applicable to their operations. Travelese does not provide legal or regulatory advice — consult with local professionals to confirm compliance for your specific business type.

How should I handle member personal information?

Member information provided through the platform may only be used for confirmed booking communications. It may not be shared with third parties, stored beyond operational necessity, or used for outside marketing. Any data breach must be reported to Travelese immediately. Violations may result in account suspension.

🤝 Alliances

What is a Travelese Alliance?

An Alliance is an organization — typically a Convention and Visitors Bureau, Chamber of Commerce, or Economic Development Agency — that partners with Travelese to refer local businesses as Hosts while earning commission revenue on those referrals.

How much does an Alliance partnership cost?

The Alliance partnership fee is $250 per year.

How does the commission structure work?

Alliance partners earn up to 50% commission on the annual subscription fee of every Host they refer to the platform. There are no recruitment quotas, no caps on how many Hosts you can refer, and commission income recurs annually as long as referred Hosts remain on the platform.

Who qualifies as an Alliance partner?

CVBs, Chambers of Commerce, Economic Development Agencies, tourism associations, and similar organizations whose member base includes travel-adjacent businesses. If your organization supports local businesses and tourism, the Alliance model is designed for you.

What value does an Alliance bring to its own members?

Alliance partners can offer their member businesses a direct path to a national network of lifestyle-matched travelers, enhanced visibility beyond local marketing, and a technology platform built specifically for independent and local operators. This strengthens the value proposition of Alliance membership for every local business in your network.

Is there a limit on how many Hosts an Alliance can refer?

No. There are no quotas, no caps, and no recruitment deadlines. You grow your commission income at your own pace by referring as many qualifying businesses as fit your network.

When can an Alliance begin onboarding its members as Hosts?

Alliance onboarding aligns with Host onboarding, which opens in April 2026. Alliance partners who join early can begin preparing their member referral pipeline ahead of the full platform launch in June 2026.
